TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Here's what's hard: Continuing to put in the same consistent day-in-day-out efforts on the now-so-very-familiar routine of tasks, all while you have a sneaking suspicion that your underlying impetus to keep on fightin' this fight is embroiled in a gradual, but profound, reorientation. Your philosophic core is indeed deeply transmuting, Taurus. Yet, like most important evolutionary processes, this one will take a long time… and you're currently closer to the beginning of it than any reassuring conclusion. At the same time, since the basic premises behind how you've organized your daily rituals haven't yet conclusively changed (i.e., you're not at a place to confidently define what exactly is different), you've got to maintain the existing momentum as it's been. Though you may rightfully foresee a time somewhere ahead in the future (whether nearer or farther) when what you're doing now will seem quaint, outdated or pointless—a moment which will make itself abundantly clear once it arrives—you don't yet know what it will be replaced with. Until then, you've got to honor the previous developments that got you this far in the first place… and hold it together, despite the unresolved questions.
SCORPIO (October 23-November 21): While it may seem more desirable (to a certain Greta-Garbo-ish part of your psyche at least) to sequester thyself indoors and spare your tender innards the indignity of putting on a personality suitable for public view, let me suggest such a hiding-out would be a waste of your temporarily heightened power to influence. Fight off the inner voice of least resistance, Scorpio, who might argue that, to truly suit your personal cravings of the moments, you should fasten the shutters tight and cocoon into the protective casing of home. Isn't that a little short-sighted, especially once your astrologer points out you've still got the Sun, Mercury and Venus on your side? With your planetarily-glorified mix of startlingly crisp communications and almost uncanny allure, you presently possess the chops to convince nearly anyone of anything—that is, if you sincerely buy into it. (Disclaimer: Beware of manipulating.) Knowing that, use what you've momentarily got to think a few steps ahead… rather than, say, merely excusing yourself from all such forethought so you can take it easy another few days. 'Easy' may indeed be easy, but also somewhat wasteful of opportunity.

Sun/Moon synastry: not as fabulous as you think it is

Theoretically, in a synastry, two people coming together with this aspect should facilitate one another in this way. There is an understanding between them. They feel comfortable together, complimented. They like one another. This works even in compatible elements (fire/air, earth/water) without an exact aspect, although the more exact the aspect, the greater the integration. In theory, at least.

Why isn’t it foolproof, then?

Ever had a non-sexual relationship with someone whose Sun was conjunct your Moon, or vice versa? A friendship perhaps? Work colleague? Ever notice what happens? Usually, you get along okay, sometimes fabulously. You like the same things, you have the same attitudes, you feel comfortable with one another. You have fun together. But then, what happens? All that same-y stuff runs down an unconscious river between you. Pretty soon, you don’t notice it anymore, and then that’s when the conflicts of other planets kick in. And that wave of unconscious nicey-nice-ness that you were relying on suddenly turns on you a bit, because you find that the same qualities you really don’t like in yourself are reflected in the other person, like a bad mirror staring back at you all the time. Moon in Leo starts resenting Sun in Leo’s need for attention. Moon in Pisces starts steaming because Sun in Pisces is never home for dinner on time.

I'm sort of amused at this since my double Sadge friend is coming to visit...we're not conjunct, though.

Where to find your talents

I've read different takes on this subject, but this is new to me:

In assessing talents I go straight for Venus and Chiron in the natal chart. Venus represents our assets, sometimes quite literally; these are traits and abilities we can pull out of our pockets and use, the best examples being Venus-ruled gifts such as singing ability or artistic talent. Venus attributes always carry an undefinable je ne sais quoi that shines through and designates the result as talent, rather than mere effort. Venus is like ability currency we can spend as we like; it draws admiration, and marks us as naturally skilled, whether we work to develop that ability or not.

Chiron is another kind of attribute entirely, a much more subtle ability that is highly unique and personalized to our Beingness and experience. The Chirotic skill has the quality of being channeled through us, and because of this it’s an asset we can freely offer to others, while this specific aid remains unavailable for our own use. We can profit from Venus; the profit we derive from Chiron is personal and spiritual, for the most part, with the goal being to take the Chirotic experience from a personal to a transpersonal level.
