Astrology Zone Scorpio for January:

As you begin the month, there is some indication that you may be traveling. This is a trend that started last month, so it appears that you've been in perpetual motion ever since the holiday season began. Last month you seem to have been living out of a suitcase and enjoying yourself.

 You were smart to travel then, while you could, because in just a month or two you won't find it as easy to slip away. You still can get away in January, so if you have the yen to go to a new setting, do so straightaway.

Much to my disgust, Jupiter is going into Aquarius..."your fourth house of home!" Argh. I don't have any intention of moving, thanks. Really don't wanna.

Of course there will be the usual financial tricks that seem to go on and on with you forever pulling rabbits out of hats at the very last minute. Now more than ever your powers of manipulation must come into play.

I sadly am relating to the middle of this a lot more than I'd like to be:

Taurus (April 19-May 20)
This month's total solar eclipse in your 4th solar house (dwelling places, security, emotional well-being, father) will call you closer to your true home. You may also be met with the fear of uprooting, of losing your comfort zone, or of having your delicate sense of security challenged in some way.

Ain't it fun to be a bull? Want to make a Bull wet its pants? Take away the food, have their SO decide they no longer want sex, steal from 'em, or force change upon them.

It is difficult to imagine on this side of a threshold that life will somehow be better as a result of it. Indeed, it may seem impossible to do so.

Yet change is the one thing that we can count on. The reason you don't have to worry about any one aspect of your stability is because your entire being rests on a greater certainty, something so vast you may not even be aware of it. This is a surety that transcends the normal fluctuations of the world, the rise and fall of fortunes, and the waves of belief or disbelief in ourselves. Events this month will go a long way toward connecting you to the deeper reality within yourself. The changes themselves will connect you with your more authentic sense of confidence and presence in the world; indeed, from where you stand now, there is no other way to get there.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Those who succeed in this world always have a story to tell, and usually it's not the story you expect. If you've ever read a biography, you know what I am talking about. Making your way to excellence is never just wine and roses. Many people we respect have struggled so much, and worked so hard for so long, that you might ask yourself if it was even worth it all. Though it is clearly not the whole story, there is something in your chart about understanding your vision of what success means, and doing so in very specific ways. “But aren’t I supposed to focus on self-improvement?” you may say. “Aren’t I due a little Me-First time?” Of course you are, and the planets have supported the recent bout of self-centered reflection, improvement, and reward. We all need it, want it, and deserve it...it’s good for us...but....
The time is coming to focus on the outer world again. August will be filled with interesting happenings, most of which will require you to come out of yourself long enough to notice them. You're about to become super-busy all of a sudden; by the end of August, the pace of your life will be running a hard 70 and still accelerating.

scorpio in august

Like your fellow fixed sign Taurus, you could be in for a wake-up call this month. Blame the eclipses, who are arrayed like twin alarm clocks on either side of you.
You can read more about the Leo/Aquarius eclipses here, but it'll suffice to say that these two events, the solar eclipse on August 1 and the lunar eclipse on August 16, will have a noticeable effect on your life. Eclipses are just like regular New and Full Moons, only stronger and less predictable. Considering the parade of planets that's in the process of squaring your sign, the eclipses will merely be the focal point of a very enlightening, if possibly painful, month.
Look first to your home life and roots. Somehow, there’s a healing process underway in the deepest areas of your life—your family history, your childhood memories, the foundations of your personal psychology—and the events of August will dredge up a few more wounded areas for you to deal with.
Some of the triggering events will occur through the most public of your activities. Everything has been moving so fast in your career and public persona sector that you’ve barely had time to catch your breath; now you’ll need to take time to internalize all that’s happened.
The past/present links that show up may catch you off-guard. Some of your recent public decisions have cast a strong light on the wounds of the distant past.
Does "what happened back then" still affect your decisions? Can you find some way of reconciling the huge difference between the person you are now and that person of the past who no longer really exists?

TAURUS

The sun this month is in subjective Cancer, where he'll be wanting to to communicate with everyone around you in a very feeling manner about...feelings. This is generally quite a good thing, and it can help you work effectively with all kinds of people. Indeed, this is a decidedly UN-agitated solar month and well worth taking advantage of. The entire month is also quite good for meeting new people as well as chatting up the people you already know. Feel free to pursue making some new friends, acquaintances, and contacts if you are so inclined.

 

If there's going to be a fly in the ointment, it will probably come courtesy of Mars in Virgo. Although he may not cause you any problems here (he is in good angle to your sun), if he does the most likely suspects would be conflicts with with lovers and children (or perhaps lovers with children!). Saturn's been putting the pressure on you vis a vis these kinds of relationships for awhile now. If tension and anger have built up, Mars is probably going to feel like he can't stand it anymore, he's just got to say something!

 

If things do get irritating in July or August, consider that you're probably going to need to achieve a balance between your short-term emotions and the big picture. Do your best to think things through before pulling the trigger or delivering an ultimatum. Don't give up on anyone just yet, for there are rewards to be had for persisting and working things through.

SCORPIO

From July 1, you enter into one of your best periods for aggressively working to resolve conflicts with your friends. If Saturn in Virgo has been doing his job, a few conflicts with people you thought you could trust have been building up. You may even have experienced a betrayal or two. But here's the thing--Saturn's just been testing your allies to see who your true friends are.

 

So if any of your buddies have fallen short of the mark, now's the time to to have it out with them. But don't neglect the other side of the coin, opening your eyes to all of the new people who can be or want to be your friends if you'll just let them. The sun in Cancer in your solar 9th house encourages you to broaden your horizons. Perhaps you can bond with new, more suitable companions by exercising your intellect and taking courses or studying a new subject.

 

In the big picture, you are being given a planetary gift this year--a gift of freedom. You can do what you want to do if you'll let go of attachments to old dreams and the folks you used to share them with.

As a stunning New Moon sweeps through your birth sign this month, I suggest you ask yourself one question: is what you want based on what you want, or is it based on some extreme external conditioning?

One’s work or mission must be based on an inner process in order to be authentic. While it’s impossible to sort out all external factors, there are a few you need to be aware of. These principally involve the effects of what you were told you could not do. The equation parses out like this. If you were blocked, chastised, or punished for expressing your talents, this can trigger a kind of obsession with ambition.

Hmmmm, sorta? To be fair, blocked on my TALENTS, not so much. Blocked on other things, yes. I guess that could explain where my obsession with this stuff could be, though.

The effect would be to make you object oriented rather than process oriented; in spiritual terms, you could stay hung up on the supposed destination rather than the journey. You will have a clue about whether this is happening if in some way you emphasize image over substance; if you are concerned more about what people think than how you feel.

The most helpful thing you can do at this point is discern whether your goals are really your goals. Where exactly did they come from, and what other options do you see? For where you are at now, is it necessary to have goals at all, or do they conceal something deeper — something you truly want and need?

Taurus:

The new moon, April 5, will fall in the most private part of your chart, the 12th house, ruling your subconscious mind, your dreams, and your most personal goals. This part of the chart rules secrets too, so it's the time where you decide to begin under-the-radar work on certain endeavors, ones that require a lot of solitude and thinking. In ancient times, the 12th house was thought to be akin to the primordial waters of creation, so as you see, the very first germination of an idea could easily begin now.
In each case, if you do start something new now, you probably won't be ready to talk to others just yet about what you're doing. Your plan isn't fully formed yet, so it is understandable that you would need to keep it under wraps. You may want to do more investigation, tinker with the idea a bit more to shape it, or imagine a few different ways of approaching the idea to see which one seems best.

Scorpio:

Mars has been zooming through your ninth house since last month, opening you up to interesting new ideas and concepts, both intellectual and spiritual in nature. You seem to be dealing with people at a distance, possibly in international settings. The people you are mixing with seem to be distinguished in some way - some may be ambassadors, diplomats, professors, journalists, publishers, TV producers, movie moguls, or artistic creative types - each in their own way very stimulating.

Happy Birthday, Scorpio!

 

For the past couple of years, Saturn in Leo has been pounding your 10th house of career and reputation, but it finally left at the beginning of September. So your birthday this year takes place under a new regime, one in which Saturn is in the more compatible sign of Virgo and has moved off an angular position in your solar chart. What does this mean to you?

 

Well, for one thing, it should mean that if you have been suffering from career angst for an extended time, your way toward getting into a better situation should be clear or at least much easier. For example, sometimes when people have Saturn in their 10th houses, they suffer all kinds of agonies due to a negative work environment, and yet they find it difficult to get out and find a new job. When Saturn leaves, they find themselves able to get a job with a company that is a much better fit.

When this kind of thing happens, there is often a rebound effect in that the person with the new job starts coming up with some new and perhaps more serious goals as a result of the changed circumstances in their lives. It's hard to come up with motivating goals when your first priority has to be to solve an existing problem. Now this is probably not your exact story, but it's an example of the implications of the new Saturn regime. Your way is now intended to be clear enough that you can start updating and getting serious about your ambitions, life goals, aspirations, wishes for the future and so on.

 

That does sum it up.

This is a good thing, not a bad thing, by the way. Saturn is not always a difficult influence. The bottom line is that you now have carte blanche for a good couple of years to a) figure out what your goals really are; b) lay the foundations for achieving them, and c) troubleshoot and debug your long-term plans.

 

Of course, there are a lot of other implications of Saturn in Virgo (for one thing, Saturn will ask you to consider seriously who you choose to associate with) and there are other planets in the sky. But this happens to be the ideal month to get into the thinking-and-planning-seriously-for-the-future/what-are-my-true-goals-anyway mode. Mars turns retrograde in your 9th house of planning for the future, giving you an extra shot of energy in this area; Mercury and Venus spend some time hanging out in your solar 12th house of mulling things over and getting in touch with the subconscious, and the sun is in your own sign, making the energy of the time all about you.

 

In other words, it's time to put yourself first for the moment, figure out what you really want over the next 5 years or so and figure out how to get it. Good luck!

Some Tauruses can’t get enough pleasure OR pain when it comes to affairs that go nowhere. Let’s hope you’ve avoided engulfment by your personal life, with family and “others”, and have turned your attention to higher matters of greater significance. And not just wills and alimony either. Now: a face lift at home.

I hate to say it, but the first sentence definitely describes my "personal life" of late.

This month:

TAURUS
You like your life to be smooth and unruffled. There’s nothing wrong with that. Why shouldn’t you be able to have your coffee the way you like it, with just the right amount of sugar? And of course if you want four pillows on the bed instead of only two and you prefer nobody touch your computer settings, that’s your choice. It’s not that you are compulsive or obsessive and can’t tolerate any change you haven’t initiated. God knows you’ve stayed steady and cool in the face of so many impossibly changes most people would have freaked out over. And stress? Forget it. Your powers of endurance sustained impacts more vigorous than if you had been a crash test dummy. So dammit! Nobody should criticize you or make fun of the fact that you ‘d like a little peace and quiet, because you’re tired of life whacking you over the head just to see if you can take it.
Not that you don’t have a sweet life, because most Tauruses do. You can always find ways to enjoy yourself, laugh, make love and stimulate all the pleasure centers of your brain when your appetites get stirred up. This month, though, with Chiron culminating in your solar horoscope and going retrograde, you’ve got major political and professional issues that cannot be avoided. While it’s probably true that at the end of the day we all probably create our own material to deal with, you may have possibly committed a tiny breach of protocol facing you now. There’s still no reason, however, to have the whole System come down on your head, attempt to wipe you out, keep you from realizing your dreams and taking over the world if you want to, is there?

The part I bolded certainly sums it up for me.

Taurus:

Good Heavens. Money and sex. one would think you would have outgrown all that nonsense by now.

Either you're still tied up with wills and affairs of those dear ones who have departed, or you're hassling between what's rightfully yours and what's rightfully "theirs", it seems that no Taurus has yet been liberated completely from the trappings of this world. So even if you have to declare it to the tax people, buy yourself something nice now.

Hm, I bet this applies more to my also-Taurean mother than me. I didn't inherit anything.

The people appearing in your life now have been brought there by a Universe trying to help you stay on course or get back on course when your yearnings for personal gratification have become too unrealistic or, in some cases, you've attempted to marry one of your kids. Love is always a desirable outlet, but please don't forget you're here for a reason and it's not just cuddling.

The impulse to help others, expand your view of humanity and stretch out your hand to those in need may not always be consistent with the cliche of Tauruses who are rumored to spend their time pigging out on carbs and to hell with everybody else. There is a call not to transcend your need for personal love and reach out beyond your usual sphere of influence and make some truly meaningful contribution. It will ease the pain of not feeling loved enough.

Scorpio:

Some people believe that the physical, sexual, emotional bonds between people survive separation, divorce and even death. Others take a less tantric position. They believe, hell, and even if you fool around, you can still consider yourself monogamous. So even if you do have a roving eye, that doesn't mean you also have to have a roving whatchamacallit, does it? Especially with the public image you're trying to create.

Anyone else picturing roaming genitalia? Just me, then?

If you're creative in any way, you should be feeling not only fresh and inspired, but fueled up like a rocket to the Moon and ready to eject a payload of creativity.

No argument here. I'm really whipping stuff out of late- I have a craft sale event next weekend and am manufacturing pieces as fast as I can. Good timing for that 5th house Uranus.

You're either in love or goddammit! need to be. As safe as it may be to find safety in the company of friends you are honestly not all that interested in any more, it's also boring. The fact is you need personal satisfaction and you need it bad. Rational? Now? You? Come on.

Uh..... well, I suppose the "goddammit" part might be true, but I am not going there. I don't really appreciate the friend-dissing here though :P

Strange baby. Needs love in spite of anything and everything. And will do anything and everything to get attention and test to see how far it can go and still get love. It's probably normal for teenagers to act out and go over the line for love and attention, but what if you're not a teenager. Although, don't artists do that? Don't they step over that line and call it creativity? Pushing the heart beyond the level of endurance? And by the way, once you create something, alive or not, it's got a life of its own and you have to respect that.
