Taurus Astrology Zone:

This may be a baffling month, with all sorts of shocks, surprises, and mixed messages, so you'll need to take time to sort out all you hear. Things may not be quite as they seem, and should you feel a little overwhelmed at times, step back and take time to think.

September will be neatly sliced in two, with love and friendship to be your focus during the first half, and your work and your health and fitness the focus in the second half. In a way, it may seem like two months rolled into one.

Let's start at the top of the month. The new moon that arrived late last month on August 30, in your house of true love, will still be strong in the first week of September and will turn your thoughts to a person you've been dating. If you've not dated lately, then you'll be motivated to change the ways you've tried to meet people. If you are single and hope to meet someone new, you will have the edge at that new moon, doubly so if your birthday falls within five days of April 27.

This new moon appeared very close to Saturn, so that suggests you are about to make a serious, long-term decision about your love life. If you have been dating, then it will be about the person you've been dating. If you are single and not dating, then Saturn will make you discriminating, yet practical and realistic, about whom you start to date. If you sense the person isn't really serious about a long-term alliance, you may leave.

On September 3, Saturn will conjoin the Sun, a rather sobering influence. This is not an easy aspect, for icy Saturn will move over the Sun's fire in your house of true love and children. If you are dating, you will know instantly if you've been realistic about your current relationship, for that's Saturn's job - to make you practical. If you've been living a fantasy (and it's easy to do that in love - which of us has not at times?) then it will seem as though someone turned on the fluorescent lights in your life - the glare may be hard to take.

The Sun also rules your home in the solar Taurus chart, so you may have to make a decision about where to live or about whether you can afford to buy a house or renovate, or concerning other domestic, family, or home-related questions.

If you are single and dating and had planned to move in with your lover, you may have second thoughts about doing so on September 3. Saturn wants you to have contingency plans, so it may not be wise to give up your present apartment, even for economic reasons. Keep your place empty or rent it to a friend (if allowed). Or, don't move at all. You can still be together a great deal without moving in.

The fifth house, where Saturn will meet the Sun on September 3, also rules creativity. You may find that someone in authority has harsh words to say about one of your artistic projects. That's always tough to hear. If you don't agree with the criticism, let the words roll off you and remain true to your own instincts. If, being honest with yourself, you feel you might benefit from all or part of what is said to you, take it and use it to your benefit. Don't become crushed by it - in a few days you probably won't even remember this episode.

There is one other possible manifestation of Saturn's influence on September 3. The fifth house rules pregnancy, so if you have had problems with conception or pregnancy, be sure to get plenty of rest. Listen to all your doctor's advice too, as it would not be the time to deviate - follow all the advice to the letter.

The very next day, September 4, Jupiter and the Sun will be at lovely angles. Jupiter will be in your travel sector, and the Sun in your creative sector. You may get a call from an overseas client about an opportunity to export your talents abroad. Or, you may travel far on this day. If the latter is the case, you'll do very well, and your cup of good fortune will runneth over!

Difficult aspects will hit at mid-month and I am sorry to have to say this. This time, on September 12, you may hear a shocking surprise about a lover or child when Uranus will oppose the Sun.

On the heels of this, at the full moon on September 15, Uranus will conjunct the full moon, directing your attention to a friend. These two aspects, falling so close, will overlap and could be quite jarring. When it comes to Uranus, you can never accurately predict the outcome. 

A friend may be in crisis and need your urgent help, or you may find that the board members of a club you belong to (or hope to join) will act erratically or strangely for some reason. It is also possible that in an extreme manifestation of this trend, a friend will betray you. Let's hope this aspect won't apply to you.

The moon in any chart also rules home, family, and the overall domestic condition, so a situation may arise there and will be part of the discussion, too. Again something seems to happen suddenly, without warning.

As you get into the second half of September, your office, store, or studio - your workplace - will be very busy, for Mars will circulate in your sixth house of new assignments all month. If you were hoping to take a vacation, it seems not to be possible, for your boss will need all hands on deck.

Mercury will retrograde in this same work assignment house, so you may find you have to go over completed work and fix flaws.

You can expect even more assignments to arrive once the new moon arrives September 29.

Co-workers will be very cheery and helpful during the first three weeks, bless them, so at work you should feel none of the tension that you might be feeling in your personal life. If you like, you can ask a pal in the next cubicle for a favor on September 11 and expect a positive, caring response. On that day, your ruler, Venus, will contact Mars - that's lovely. In fact, you may even discover a flirtation with a co-worker, and it may even last!

The month holds more intricate twists and turns than a Hitchcock movie and you'll have to use a scorecard to keep up. When at one point it looks like things are going to the dogs, the next minute you'll turn optimistic and feel as though you are headed to the top of the world again. To say your emotions will be all over the place is an understatement.

You won't be alone. A host of dramatic planetary alignments will be having a similar effect on just about everyone. With everyone feeling a bit manic, you can imagine how wild September will be at times!

Let's have a look at the month from the top. The new moon that occurred last month, on August 30, will still be exerting a strong pull on you as the month opens, and this new moon will focus you strongly on your friends. You will be meeting many new people, and you have the option of making a new friend or two and to strengthen the bonds with friends you have now.

If your birthday falls on October 31, plus or minus four days, you will feel this expansive new influence the most and will be in the best position to take advantage of it. People you cultivate now will open up new vistas. Working to help a charity, club, or other organization or special constituency will help you to develop leadership skills.

There is one day that may prove to be somber as the month opens, September 3. The meeting of the Sun to Saturn will occur then, and is considered a very weighty aspect. At that time a friend may face a very difficult situation and ask for your help. It won't be a problem that's easy to solve - you will need to listen closely so you can help research options.

Alternatively, on or near September 3, you may volunteer for a very complex and responsible position on a club, charity, or board (such as the condo or tenants committee). Heading this committee would raise your status substantially, but you may be very concerned about whether you can handle all the responsibility you have taken on. If you feel overwhelmed, talk to committee members to see how you can best divide the work.

At the very same time, near September 3, you will be hit with a great deal of work at the office, and juggling both could be quite a task. Your professional profile seems very high these days, so naturally you'll want to keep your output as polished as possible. Juggling all will be very difficult, and you may find you return home exhausted and depressed. Get rest - you will be seeing life through a dark filter on this day, and with adequate rest you will soon be your old self again. If a boss criticizes you on September 3, you're likely to go to pieces - everything will take on greater proportions on this day - but try to keep perspective.

There is one other possible outcome of September 3 that I hope will not apply to you. You may have a problem with a friend that distresses you deeply and that could put your whole friendship in jeopardy. Words said now could have very lasting effect. Let's hope this is not the way things play out.

Both planets hold sway over your finances, so with both turning on their wattage, you will now move into a much more successful phase, one that will allow you to achieve more dramatic and gratifying progress in weeks and months ahead. If you've been frustrated about how little progress with cash flow you've made over the past months, you know why. Now you have reason for an improvement.

Watch for signs of a financial breakthrough, whether large or small, in the days surrounding September 8. You may also get to schedule a trip you had delayed for a long time - you may have put it off to save money!

Tensions will begin to build in your personal and professional life, however, as you get closer to the full moon, September 15. Your first signal that something is up will be on September 12, when Uranus opposes the Sun. This aspect often produces a powerful, jaw-dropping effect, so whatever you think will happen won't - something else will, and it will be something you could never have anticipated.

On that Friday, September 12, a creative project could bring an unexpected obstacle or sudden change of direction that requires your immediate, urgent attention. You'll feel your reputation is at stake, and it is in a way, so you will need to show how resourceful you are in your response. Alternatively, a major boss or client may suddenly leave, creating havoc in the office. The news will be jarring.

It is also possible that a rather wonderful creative opportunity will arise out of the blue for you and that you'll similarly need to roll rapidly. You seem to be very centered on what has developed all weekend, for the situation will be ongoing Monday.

With changes going on at the office, you'd appreciate a stale romantic life at home but that seems unlikely. At this very same full moon, a romantic relationship or friendship could also bring more surprising, even shocking, developments.

For clarity, if you are married or in a long-term established relationship, you are not likely to feel the effects of all this - the house under consideration will focus more on new love than committed love.

The full moon, on Monday, September 15, plus four days, seems to be tied with events that begin to surface on Friday. On Friday, you have Uranus opposition the Sun. On Monday, Uranus will conjoin the full moon. This time the full moon will culminate in your fifth house of love, creativity, and children, so a personal matter seems to be at the epicenter of your attention.

Whatever occurs will be so unexpected as to knock you off-kilter. With Uranus you never know what to expect, and that's why it's so hard for me to prepare you. It looks to be a shock you don't like involving a lover or friend, but with Uranus, I can't be sure. Certainly I would never describe these aspects as soothing or calming. Electrifying and jolting would seem a more appropriate description. Your job seems bound up with what is going on too, and I can't quite figure out how - but you will see this play out as events rapidly unfold before your eyes.

A lover may be cause for real concern and deep disappointment, or the matter may involve a surprise pregnancy. If you are not dating, however, and this full moon doesn't center you on a creative project or creative people, then you may meet someone new at this time. I am not sure that's good - this person may disappear, only to show up again later, next month. Anyone new you meet at this full moon I am afraid would be quite erratic. Yes, I know, this month you'll need nerves of steel.

On or near September 19-22, a career development may come up that will allow you the opportunity to work with someone from your past and it seems that you would package yourself as "partners" to the new company. This will be an intriguing offer, one that would allow you to increase your authority in the industry - see what happens near these dates, and be content to allow talks to play out slowly and gradually.

Mercury will go retrograde in your twelfth house of solitude on September 23 until October 15, so if you need to make a big decision or initiation, you need to either do so in the first week of September or wait until the new moon in Scorpio on October 29. I vote for next month for many reasons - that's your ideal time to act.

With Mercury out of phase, there's a good chance you will change your mind about a relationship, project, or other big endeavor important to you. Give the matter all the time it deserves. Rushing won't make anything happen any sooner. Mercury in this state indicates that things are in flux and are likely to change in a dramatic way soon. Be smart and wait for the dust to clear. Never plan your initiations to be too close to the start and end dates of the retrograde period, for that's when Mercury will act in his most mischievous ways and produce the most chaotic results. Mercury rules communication, objective thinking, and negotiations - all areas of life that you need to operate in top form. Delays you experience now will benefit you. Trust in that to be true!

Why are the start and end dates of the Mercury retrograde periods the worst to initiate actions? Let me give you a visual example. Imagine a big ocean liner trying to do a u-turn and you will sense how hard it is for a big planet to switch gears and go in the opposite direction. Moving from retrograde to direct creates an enormous energy drain on Mercury, and a lot of static swirls around the planet as he musters all the energy he has to affect the change. That's not a time to do anything important. So don't run up too close to the day Mercury retrogrades, and don't be too quick to jump on activities the day it goes direct.

All month, Mars will be in your most secluded part of your chart, so you'll want to keep to yourself most of the month, thinking, planning, and strategizing about the future. Your time to "go public" will occur next month when Mars goes into Scorpio. Use this month to study all your plans and to root out flaws.

The new moon at month's end will fall on September 29 and have a magical effect on your artistic and imaginative efforts. The twelfth house, which will be so strongly emphasized this month, rules creativity that stems from the very depths of your soul. If you are paid for your ideas, or have a solitary artistic pursuit that is important to you, this new moon will help you come up with highly original ideas.

This new moon will also help you end a habit you've long wanted to end, or to seek help from a professional, friend, or coach about a matter that has troubled you (if that applies). Your dreams may become very vivid over the coming weeks, and if you find this to be true, you'll want to talk those dreams over with a friend to dissect what they might mean. Last year when I was starting to write my 2008 calendar, I drew up 300 charts for all 12 full moons and 13 new moons times 12 signs, and my attention was immediately drawn to this month's new moon, May 5. I said to myself, "Yes, May 5 brings one of the very best new moons of the year. I can't wait to see what this lovely month will bring! The planets will be in near ideal divine harmony and sweetness! All the signs will benefit, but for Taurus, this is truly remarkable!"

What makes this new moon even more outstanding is that with many planets in earth signs like yours, they will be in a position to open doors and present you in the very best light. This will occur in your personal and professional life. No matter what you set out to do this month, you will have a strong advantage. Be sure that you act early in the month, on or just after the new moon May 5.

An outstanding set of two days would be May 11 and 12. May 11 is a Sunday, and in America, it's Mother's Day. If you are a mother, this should be a doubly outstanding holiday for you.
The reason I like these two days is that the Sun will be in conversation with both lucky Jupiter and with surprise-a-minute Uranus. You may travel on May 11 or 12, and if so, you'll stay in quite luxurious places and have spontaneous, happy experiences while there. This weekend is pure 18K gold.

Scorpio:

Everything begins with the advent of the new moon May 5. Watch closely what events are happening in your life on or in the week that follows that date. You may be ready to sign papers to make an ongoing, fledgling relationship strong and binding in an artistic or business partnership.

The reason you should be very excited is that this particular new moon is so divinely angled to other planets. When I made my charts for the year, dear Scorpio, this new moon stood out like a beacon in the night. It was the only one that seemed nearly flawless, which is unusual. This new moon will send a powerful beam to Jupiter, in your house of communication, so you'll be sending your message, artistic expression, or words "out there" for the whole world to see and hear. You may get amazing publicity in May, or you may launch a website or an important advertising campaign, or you may update your image by unveiling a completely redesigned logo for your business, for example.

The new moon offers more. At the very same time, three planets will be nearly perfectly positioned to create a sparkling triangle of stars called a "grand trine," considered the most fortunate aspect possible. It is as rare as it is beautiful, and as powerful as it is beneficial. Venus in your partnership sector will send a beam to Saturn in your house of friendship, and to Pluto, in your house of travel and communication. This configuration will bring you closer to communities of people, many of whom are fans of yours. Pluto rules masses and masses of people, so it's very likely that you will get certain publicity this month, or that you will speak, lecture, or publish your expressions.

As I mentioned earlier, this month will be all about partnerships and collaborations. In your most successful career efforts, it appears you have one or more partners who are close to you and who will work with you to help make you look great. This month the full moon on May 19 will fall in Scorpio in a late degree, which is remarkable. Last month, the full moon fell on April 19, in an early degree of Scorpio. Two full moons in a row, both falling in Scorpio, is both unusual and special, for it points to how much the cosmic limelight is shining on you, dear Scorpio. This full moon will send beautiful vibes to both Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, and to Uranus, the planet of out-of-the-blue surprise. Not only will you see things go your way, but the universe seems to have hidden a few cosmic goodies to toss your way when you least expect them to come.

TAURUS

Love, money, and hanging around the house are potentially on tap for Taurus this month. The potential love action comes courtesy of a solar eclipse on September 11 in your solar 5th house.

Gee, what a romantic date for that. Sorry, had to be said.

The money portion of the equation comes courtesy of Gemini in Mars in your solar 2nd house of finances opposing Jupiter in your solar 8th house and eventually Pluto in that same house. It's possible that this configuration could deliver some substantial financial gains, as Jupiter and Mars when working together like to think big. On the other hand, this configuration could deliver some substantial financial outlays, as Mars in the 2nd sometimes seems to like to throw cash out the window. Which way things go will depend, I suppose, on whether you enjoy making money more than spending it!

 

SCORPIO

This is one of those darn unpredictable months that seem to crop up here lately with some regularity. Unpredictability this month comes courtesy of planets in all the mutable unpredictable signs along with a couple of eclipses. Eclipses are like wild cards--you don't know what they're going to be until they show up, so it's sort like the majority of planets are hedging their bets and deciding not to put any cards on the table until the last minute.

 

What does that mean to you? A couple of things. One, be alert when it comes to money. Mars in Gemini in your 8th house of joint finances and non-salary income will be opposing Jupiter in your second house of ordinary income. This can be good, expansive influence, or an expensive one. The prudent thing to do is to know exactly what you need and want financially so that you can be on top of situations as they develop. For example, you may want to invest in your future--or you may want to avoid temptation to overspend. You may want to make an impressive proposal to important people, or you may want to avoid clashes with those same important people. It all depends on your circumstances--so the smart thing to do is to understand your circumstances and what the most desirable outcome of strong money energy would be for you this month.

 

The other area in which to be alert is relationships. The eclipses will fall across the solar sectors that relate to love affairs (and children, if you have them) and friendships. Theoretically, something would end in the love sector and start up in the friendship sector. But eclipses can be tricky. What might end in the love sector is a psychological hang-up and what might begin in the friendship sector is short-term participation in some sort of group endeavor. Again, the key is to know what you'd like. With Saturn moving into your 11th solar house of hopes and wishes and life goals, part of the idea here is to get serious about what you really want out of life. Understanding that is essentially the key to your fortunes over the next couple of years, and it will be okay if your thoughts evolve over time. But it would be worth your while to give the matter some thought.

Now we need to turn to your romantic life, which has been as wild and wooly as a roller coaster. (Not dating? You may be glad you aren't seeing anyone this month after you read what your fellow Taurus friends are going through.)

Damn skippy! Though this last month has been rough for everyone I know who's coupled, regardless of sign. WAY glad to be single now.

If you are single, your last episode with your rocky relationship occurred - or started - around March 3 of this year. Before that, troubles may even extend back as far as September 7, 2006, or even earlier, March 14, 2006.

I'm kind of baffled as to "my last episode with my rocky relationship" when I'm single.

Whatever your situation, brace for new developments on the next eclipse in your romantic house, set to come next month on September 11. However, before that happens, you will have a lunar eclipse on August 28.

Meh, I'm not counting on anything happening there.

This is not likely to be a gentle eclipse, so all sorts of information may come shooting up like a geyser and this month will center on a friendship. You may wish later that you didn't know all that you learn now. Uranus will oppose Mercury, and Saturn will stay close to the Sun. Both these aspects give me pause. Something's up, and not much of it (if any) looks positive. Still, eclipses bring information you need to make sense of things, so even if you get jarring news about a friend, be glad to have the truth. You may see a friend leave your life, say, because he is about to move away, or find out a friend was not the friend you thought she was to you. There are many possibilities. You may have an altercation with a group - say, the tenants board, or the management of a club you belong to - and this seems to have the power to be disillusioning. I am so sorry to have to report this, dear Taurus. I hope I am wrong about this.

Well, my best friend is moving to Oklahoma and two more friends are going to Ireland for a quarter, all this month, and another one's going to Burning Man. So...not a surprise there that people are at least temporarily taking off.

The saving grace is that if you were born near April 26 you will feel this eclipse more, but will benefit from what you learn most, too.

Otherwise, eep.

That won't necessarily stop untoward news, but it can help clear the air and solve certain mysteries. Mercury rules your love life, so with Uranus in opposition to Mercury in tight mathematical degree, there is likely to be sudden, even weird, news that you'd never expect involving a romantic relationship.

Again, I think that one kinda already happened with other people.

Oh well, I'm single so not to worry about me on that one.

Scorpio:

You have now reached a pivotal part of the year, where true change can take place on several levels. These shifts won't be cosmetic changes that only exist on the surface, but true transformations. Life will begin to look and feel very different. Although friends will think it all happened overnight, your new lifestyle will represent lots of reflection and hard work that you put in behind the scenes over months or years. It will be gratifying to see such enormous progress now.

If you felt in recent months that you've been walking through glue, the second half of 2007 should please you. The pace will pick up and although all the coming months will be important, August and September will stand out, because at this time you will turn a corner.

The last part of the month will be a turbulent time for everyone. A particularly difficult full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces is due, and will force a decision about a romantic relationship, particularly if you are not yet formally attached. (If you have been living together for years, or are married, your relationship would fall in a different house, the seventh house, so the eclipse would not be likely to affect your romantic life. In your case, the eclipse might bring up a discussion in regard to a surprise pregnancy or the care of children.)

Let's first look at your recent experiences in love to put this eclipse in context. Let me remind you that we are talking about mainly single Scorpios. If you have been dating someone a while, it appears this person has provided most of the excitement of your life.

I say this because the surprising, electric, and adventurous planet Uranus has been traveling through your fifth house of love for four years and you have four more years to go. The funny thing about Uranus is that it is essentially a cool, aloof planet. Although your relationship has a powerful emotional energy, chances are, the two of you still haven't become as close as you could.

TAURUS

SCORPIO

You need challenge and feedback now, and don’t say that the last thing you need is more challenges. You could use someone to play off, mainly because you’ve been working so hard to stay on top, you may have lost sight of the fact that nobody can do it all alone. Appropriate or not, a hot contact helps once in a while.

Taurus:

If so, you won't be away much longer - by July 5 you'll be home, because full moons tend to bring things to a rapid conclusion. These dates perfectly dovetail with the American holiday, Independence Day (July 4, a Wednesday), so if you live in the United States, you may be celebrating the holiday with a glorious trip. Good idea. If your birthday falls on or near April 27, there's twice the chance that you'll be able to fly away, at least for a few days if not more (or you did at the end of June).

If you can't travel in early July, don't be blue. Travel is likely to come up again on July 11. Thanks to a sweet interplay of the Sun to Uranus, the ruler of your solar tenth house of profession, this trip will likely be for work and come up unexpectedly. No matter, because it appears by your chart that you will have friends based at your destination. You'll have fun seeing them, so you can combine business and pleasure quite easily.

Many more chances to travel will come up AGAIN in the days that fall on or follow July 14. This time any travel taken would be to visit places much closer to home, but no matter. Short, frequent trips to nearby towns will offer you a welcome change of pace.

Lucky you - you will find a million reasons to travel this month, so you'll probably head out of town more than once. As a Scorpio, you tend to like being holed up in your own space, but with so many good reasons to leave, whether for a fun diversion, to visit family, or to have a face-to-face with a business associate, there's little chance that you'll be able to hide inside. Your first trip is likely to be taken and finished up between July 1 and 4, thanks to the full moon that fell on June 30 in your house of short trips. Scorpio (Oct. 23rd – Nov. 22nd)
No doubt about it: The past few months have been intense and dramatic for you, Scorpio. Confrontations and crises might have been rampant: some involved you and affected you, others didn’t involve you, but still affected you anyway. The good news is that, although your changes are far from over, at least most of the shoes that were going to drop have done so, leaving you with a clearer picture of what you’re dealing with. Even better, the energies gathering now are working more for your benefit. I mentioned last month's eclipses, so let me say this: If you didn't get any news near March 3 or 18, the dates of the eclipses that fell in your friendship and true love sectors, respectively, then you might this month. The job of an eclipse is to shed brilliant light on a situation and help you evolve in maturity by what you hear.

If you didn't see any developments in your love life in March, then watch to see if anything develops this month, one month to the day later this month. That would be April 3 and April18, plus or minus four days.

Also watch April 23 carefully too, for that is the date that Mars, your ruler, will oppose the exact mathematical degree of last month's lunar eclipse of March 3, at 13 degrees of Virgo. That day - April 23 - could prove to be significant and very revealing, one way or the other.

Last month's solar eclipse of March 18 will be highlighted by Mars on May 13 and you may want to mark it down on your calendar in case I forget to tell you in my next report. That's when Mars will move over the precise degree of that eclipse, 28 degrees Pisces. In all, your houses of friendship, love, romance, pregnancy, and children, as well as creativity, will strongly highlighted. Truly, your private life is certainly coming into focus and progressing.

Now let's turn to matters related to your health.
Are you feeling stressed and in need of more exercise? Look into your options just after the new moon, April 17. Diet and fitness regimens that are begun within a few days of the new moon, especially the friendly new moon, like the one we have, have an outstanding chance of success.
With Mars in your fifth house, rather than disciplined visits to the gym, doing fun sports that are new to you would work better. Chose one sport you'd like and then be quick to sign up for lessons. Make it a sport that will allow you to test your strength and test your skills as you go along - Aries, the sign of the new moon - will make you very competitive!

The month ends on a big surprise, and you guessed it - it will have something to do with your love life (or, your second love, a creative project).

If you are single, Mars in Pisces will be a blessing for it will take your love life from zero to 100 in a flash. Mars will enter April 6 and leave May 15, but in that time, you will have the power to start a new relationship that could stand the test of time.

Do you want an extra freelance or part time job? Take a look at the bulletin board notices and make your appointment with a potential employer for your money-magnet day, April 9. Ask for more money than you feel you can negotiate, because with your persuasive ways, you may just be able to get it.
